I don't know that book but it's probably adequate. Opencog contains a potpourri of ideas from logic, prolog, lambda calculus, relational algebra. There's usually several ways to solve any problem in opencog. Many or most of the link types in opencog are not used for basic KRR, but are there to solve assorted domain-specific problems, usually related to pattern matching.
