Please check out whether both the incoming and outgoing postfix processes are running. If not, check out the /etc/init.d/openprotect file for correct values. You can also manually start the outgoing postfix by: postfix -c /etc/postfix start If this solves your problem, then you have to correctly set the values POSTFIX=/usr/sbin/postfix POSTFIXINCF=/etc/postfix.in POSTFIXOUTCF=/etc/postfix in /etc/init.d/openprotect.
