Unfortunately not.
In order to resolve this, we need someone who uses and understands the
Darwin/OSX routing utilities to help figure out why certain
split-tunnel configurations cause the route to the external VPN
gateway to be dropped.

I cannot reproduce this issue on Linux, using either the newer
iproute2 utilities or the older route(8) -- which is closer to the OSX
interface.
