Wanted to pass this around, but I'm not done yet. 

My intention is to separate the performance tests and benchmarks into
it's own bucket (probably using a different naming scheme), so that we
could choose if we want to run them or not.

I'd also like to work on the tests to have consistent "PASS", "SKIP",
"FAILED" messages.
