I took a look at the kernel message log from a machine where I've
installed OpenDNSSEC 1.4, and there I see:
set{u,g}id pid 23710 (vmstat) was invoked by uid 1072 ppid 11510 (ods-signerd)
with fd 2 closed
Why does ods-signerd need to call vmstat? If it absolutely must,
it really should point FD 2 somewhere sensible.
paul@bofh:~/BUILD/opendnssec-1.4.1$ find . -type f |xargs grep vmstat
paul@bofh:~/BUILD/opendnssec-1.4.1$
So it must have been called indirectly when it called something else that
on your system called vmstat?
Also note on my machine vmstat has no set{u,g}id bits....
