I believe this boils down to how much we want to add to 1.4.x before calling it
1.5. We've tried to keep the number of new features down, but at the same time
starting 1.5 for some minor stuff backwards compatible features doesn't make
much sense either.
From your mail I assume you want them merged, we'll look into that.
