Hi all, We've noticed that solaris (sunos 5.7) is now setting ARCH to sun. Perhaps this serves some function, and breaks something when we set ARCH to solaris for our purposes. Should we move to DXARCH? This should be largely transparent to users and developers ought to be able to handle the switch. Comments?
btw if you need the dx architecture is, "dx -whicharch" tells you. saves you having to replicate (and maintain) the uname tests dx does. Regards, Pete
