It's so good to know you're not totally wacked. A separate question: how do I configure to use xlc instead of gcc? I tried a make-clean, editing config.cache to change ac_prog to xlc from gcc, reconfigure, make. It won't make finle src/exec/libdx/buffer.c from buffer.Z.
