Sorry no one has commented. I'll comment since I was in the meetings
during the open source planning. Yes the license does encompass the
samples as well.

Hi!
I'm maintaining Debian's OpenDX packages at the moment, and I'd like to
provide a package of the sample files in dxsamples as well. However, I
haven't found a document in the dxsamples tarball stating its terms of
distribution. I'd guess it's subject to the same license as OpenDX
itself, but could someone please fill me in with a definitive statement,
please?
