fix type-ahead bugs:
- Change the way type-ahead handles input strings that don't match a tool
examples:
a-u-m matches AutoAxes
a-u-v matches bspline when typed into ( All )
- space bar unselects current selection
- closing an expaded list hides type-ahead indicator
- clicking an item after typing, deactivates typing
