Thank you everyboyd for your help. Apparently there are already openEHR
XML schemas in development at DTSC. I plan on doing an analysis of
these schemas versus HL7's CDA and GP2GP project. I will post the
results to the list after the work has been done. Unfortunately I have
limited access to CEN work in this area, so if anyone can assist me
regarding CEN's XML work for EHRs it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Subject: openEHR XML schemas

Hello All,

I am curious if anyone has made progress on developing openEHR XML
schemas. The current documentation describes the openEHR theory and
various relevant models quite well, but there are no references to
standard document formats.

In order to build interoperable openEHR systems there must be a standard
XML schema for archetypes, EHR_EXTRACTS, and EHRs (including their
encapsulated TRANSACTIONs, CONTENT, etc.). I think compatibility with
HL7 CDA schemas should also be a priority.

I've downloaded the DTSC archetype editor, but it seems to only output
GEHR archetypes. The namespace reference in the XML is:
http://www.gehr.org/namespace/archetype, but there doesn't seem to be
anything there.

I am willing to assist with this step of the project. If anyone has
begun this work, please let me know. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.
