The surefire tests were running right at 64megs of permgen space.
Builds on linux were consistently failing for me. I've fixed by
giving the surefire process some more permgen space (<argLine>-
XX:MaxPermSize=80m</argLine>). I assume that <forkMode>pertest</
forkMode> would have fixed the problem, also. See http://

I didn't spend any effort trying to figure out why we're behaving
this way under surefire. I'm assuming it's a surefire specific issue.
If we can reproduce a similar problem running outside of surefire,
then I'll investigate.
