About the tls: http://bugs.gentoo.org/204102 ... in e2fsprogs-1.40.4 the way uuids are generated has changed (http://e2fsprogs.sourceforge.net/e2fsprogs-release.html#1.40.4). e2fsprogs-1.40.3 works fine!
