Hi, Attached a patch to fix this kind of error while building VLC :
libliveMedia.a: relocation R_ARM_MOVW_ABS_NC against `a local symbol' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC | /home/sylvain/dev/SHR-Build/shr-unstable/tmp/sysroots/armv7a-oe-linux-gnueabi/usr/lib/libliveMedia.a: could not read symbols: Bad value | collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Let me know if it is not good enough, and if the patch is accepted.
