That explains it.
I'm going to divert a bit, and try something else like switching to an external
toolchain, that is known to work with powerpc, just to narrow down, to check if
it is gcc that is the actual source of my root filesystem dynamic
linker/loader/interpreter problems.
I found a whole bunch here:
