Ferdinand, I'm missing the point, the balance tree structure looks good
to me.

At least with the Spanish charts of accounts the codes are always
structured in a tree: 4 is the parent of 43 which is the parent of 430
which is the parent of 4300 which is the parent of 43000001.

Do you mean that view accounts should be displayed in a different way,
so you can easily tell apart "view accounts without children" from "leaf
accounts (with movements)"?

Bug description:
looking at the "new" reports these are technically (more or less) correct, but 
still not usable in day to day business.

on long lists OpenERP must print "decimal" hierarchy to allow allocation of 
positions to their parents.

1.
1.1.
1.1.2
1.2.
1.3.
1.3.1
1.3.1.1 
etc

this is true for all tree structured reports (on screens structures are well 
visible)
