- United Kingdom ( http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/vat/managing/charging/vat-invoices.htm#2) - "an invoice number which is unique and follows on from the number of the previous invoice" and - India - All states following VAT. - Eg: Kerala value added tax rules: - See Rule 58, Section 11 and Section 11A further ascertains this to the list of countries with independent invoice and journal entry numbers. +1 for default behaviour of different sequences (as suggested by Luc) Thank you very much Borja for bringing this issue out.
