Hi Colin, Yes that would of course be one possible solution. Although in the form of a bolt-on fix. 2640 (in my case) is the account where VAT IN is collected via the automatic tax functions so the report would be correct if tailored to simply fetch everything on this account.
But I would be much more comfortable if I could somehow utilize the standard functions. This would also keep the tax "graph" in openerp intact. The easiest solution would be if a could configure an account with a default tax CODE/Account rather than a default tax. The Journal Entries gives me the possibility to tag with a tax account, rather than a tax. I cannot see why this is not made possible on the actual account configuration. Maybe it could be added with a module but I would have to make sure that the tax move only happens during manual journal entries and not the automatic ones, to ensure that I dont get double tax transfers on automatic entries that effect the 2640 account. The easiest solution would be to alter the journal entry form so that when account 2640 is chosen the tax account is automatically set to 48 (in my case). Dont know if this is possible Regards david -- David Rinnan Business Consultant ASPIRIX AB email: [email protected] phone: +46 707 16 38 00 skype: david.rinnan twitter: davidrinnan Open Source Business Solutions 12 maj 2011 kl. 14.19 skrev Colin MacMillan: > Hello David, > > Unfortunately I think the only solution is to modify the report so your > 'manual bookings' are taken into account. > > I have encountered a similar problem with the default debtors/creditors > reports when trying to handle customer ledgers entered with an opening > journal.
