Hi David, Exactly that - the default functionality is not good for production from where we look and this is why we removed it. We have started the development on our own version of customer receipts which will allow to do batch receipts (multiple customers in one screen) or do receipts with different taxes per line.
I guess if anyone is using the standard openerp 'mini-invoices' then perhaps it will be easy to add it back to this module - please feel free to contribute.
