Just a few words to let you know about our choices. We face a problematic here that is mostly linked to the volume of transactions present in an e-commerce context. Our needs are mainly: * Better bank statement in term of usability (start & end balance, no period, …) * Easy matching between transaction and partner * Importation of mass transactions from different offices, with fee management * Reconciliation of mass transaction (that sometimes the payment is made before invoicing) * Possibility to configure the generated entries depending on a profile (to pass trough an intermediate account before our bank account, for example for sales made trough Amazon) * Be as close as possible of the OpenERP standard bank statement, object and philosophy Well, I know that all (or most of them) problematic are addressed in the banking_addons framework. But it's all in a huge module and integrated with payment management as well. Some changes are quite important compare to the OpenERP standards. And overall, it was to much time for us to take this project as we have a very short deadline. We made the choice to build a very modular solution with Camptocamp current solution and the work made by Akretion. I'm currently building it. So, we'll have at least one solution that will fit our needs and deadline and that we can maintain together (we at least are not alone). Now, we're convince that the way to go is to improve the banking framework, split it in smaller modules to have something that suit for everyone. I will finish my job for the next week and publish it in our branch (will keep you inform). I suggest that we continue the effort after that, and try to split the banking_addons based on the same philosophy as we build our own. We are open for a common reflexion and code sprint. With our work, we'll have as well a working alternative. So, we will be able to take the best out of both work to build a rocking solution !
