Title: Eric CAUDAL
Shouldnot we have a concept of payslip type and recurrence linked to payslip batch?
Similarly, a "HR journal", a similar concept as journal in accounting would allow to post batches in specific journal with conditions. You could have "Regular pay day journal" and "Bonus journal" and could control the payslip generation at journal level at setup.
When payslip is generated, you check journal configuration and setup your controls.
I would be interested in what other software do (any HR pro in the audience?)

Several cases that I have seen:
You have to separates payroll runs: one for the regular ones and the other for what we call 'aguinaldo'  or 13erd Anual Salary, for instance. Both have the same payroll date.
Another more complex situation:
Due to some changes in regulations you have may to process  twice the same period, In this case your payroll will be the differences.
There are some other cases, where the run date is a legal matter.
HEllo ..

I think you are confused,

Avoid overlaping is the same period for the same  employee and same pays lip....

Objective is not pay twice and compute twice the same payslip///

If you have several ways of pay you will be able to have them.

BUt for me, it doesn't make sense, that i compude wekly salary for friday twice?

Don't you?>

I think dates can be duplicated regarding what type of payroll run you are dealing with.
Not for a regular one, but in some cases it may be duplicated. It will depend, IMHO, on a 'payroll type'.

Can you share an Example Case please, in what real case you will need "confirm"  twice a payroll dude?>

Hello Nhomar,

Fully agreed!!! We don't have to allow payslip overlapping  with same
period(date)

Such a nice explanation you have provided that we have to allow
overlapping for refund and cancelled payslip.

We have already implemented this type of functionality on timesheet.

But here we have to also consider some extra point as you given for
refund and cancelled payslip.

Let's take more suggestion about it form community and Accounting
Experts then we will comes upon a conclusion about it.

So I am subscribe this to Accounting experts and take experts 's
opinion.

@ Accounting Experts: Would you please share your 'Opinion' about this.

Thanks for the good suggestion  and also more suggestions are most
welcomed!

[trunk] hr_payroll allow overlapping of pays lip in dates.

Bug description:
  Hello.

Try to compute twice a pays lip.
You can see how dates can be overlaped.

  See the picture:

  http://www.diigo.com/item/image/2vq6y/v68c

Basically, i have 2 questions here:

1.- We can allow compute 100 times pays lip IMHO it is necesary to debug, and compare.
2..- We can NOT allow the overlapping in dates, because IMHO it represent a big oportunity to make big mistakes to end users.
Imagine a payroll of 20 employees, is almost impossible be sure all dates are good!!! or not?
