Peter, There seems a limitation of CODA as it does never consider accented characters into account. The fact remains that the accented characters occupy 2 bytes(2 spaces by \x, \xn,etc.) , thus putting all file based reading wrong and giving room to the error.
However, we are investigating a more suitable way to get rid of such issue.
