When creating a new SN in an inventory line, I am able to specify a product which is different from the one on the line. This corrupts the stock levels in the database, and needs fixing. Having the product prefilled in the SN creation form, while not a certain way to prevent the corruption, significantly reduces the risks, especially in the case of products with similar names. In some case I don't. This is a major usability issue as the user interface is inconsistent and errors can be introduced by the information duplication.
