This is a known limitation that we cannot fix until Odoo 8.
The reason is that when a purchase order line was initiated by a procurement
order (typically coming from a sale order, a reordering rule or a manufacturing
order), the procurement tracking *requires* a separate purchase order line.
If we change this, the rest of the procurement flow will be broken: the
delivery order of the sale order will not be marked available, the components
will not become available for the manufacturing order, etc.
So this limitation will stay until Odoo 8 - this improvement was
implemented as part of the new WMS system, and comes with a complete
revamp of the procurement workflow.
Updating status: I could mark it as resolved at version 8, but marking
Won't Fix to better indicate the status for 7.0 and earlier.

Merge Purchase Orders with the same product does not work correctly

Bug description:
When i use the "Merge Purchase orders" function in Quotations to merge
two quotations with the same product the result is a PO with two
positions. (Two same products)
I suppose only one position with quantity 2 in the new "merged" PO.
