Sure, there is, you could even use ezxflash[2], but I'm afraid I
can't help with precise steps on a1200 as I don't own one.

flashcp is just the fastest way IMHO.

If the aim to have gen-blob is to boot an alternative kernel
and/or rootfs then you can put mtd-utils (which provide flashcp) in the
alternative rootfs, and build an openezx kernel that uses it.
If you don't know why you want gen-blob, then maybe you don't really
want it :)
