Excellent job on the latest release of Openfiler 2.0 Beta 1. I have put it in a semi-production environment on a Dell 2600 and so far it is holding its own. I do have some questions that the docs do not address. The biggest is concerning snapshots and what to do with them? I have implemented a rotational schedule without sharing (I don't want the users to use them), but how do I get to them to back them up or select files from them for restore? I cannot delete them unless I delete the entire scheduled rotation and I cannot access them without sharing, but that feature is not available unless I selected it when I created the schedule. So exactly what is the point in having something you do not want to share and cannot even use? Maybe I missed something in the docs? I also am wondering if you are going to provide for nic bonding in the future and the ability to tune the system via the administrative web site (speaking of tuning using sysctl.conf features). Again, thanks for an excellent job.
