I think the NTP settings from within the interface are only a convenience
for single-instance immediate setting the time as I don't think it sets the
ntpd service up at all.
If this is true, it would be nice if it DID write to the ntp.conf file and
instruct the ntpd service to reload the config. It would also be nice if it
allowed you to enter your own strata server by hand rather than only select
from the pop-up list (which would solve your problem.)

Subject: [OF-users] Add NTP server to time configuration
Do I need to manually edit /etc/ntp.conf ?
I have availible internal ntp servers but no connection to internet to use
public ntp servers.
Will this break the the web interface?
John
