Hi, I have a strange issue with User ID's and openfiler. Openfiler seems to only see UID's over 500. For instance I created an openfiler group and added all members from tne NIS maps. Only those above 500 are seen.
I have a few UID's from way back in the day that are under 500 and have been working for years without a hitch. (I know they shouldn't be under 500 but they are semi-restricted and in place for legacy reasons.) Any idea of why Openfiler does not see these user ID's? ( I am looking into PAM differences in Solaris/Linux things now).
