Perhaps you can elaborate on what it is you're trying to achieve with Openfiler.

OF certainly lives up to the description of a SAN / NAS appliance in that it supports both block (iSCSI) and file (CIFS, NFS etc) based storage export protocols. You can also deploy Openfiler as a SAN gateway.....
