Hi Kirit

We track RHEL sources more or less, and we are unlikely to add custom
patches unless they are absolutely required for features for Openfiler's
intended function. While I can accept that facilities like rsync over
SSH maybe used for file transfers, patches which help with performance
in this area really need to be considered upstream by either the OpenSSH
project itself or RHEL before it'll trickle down into Openfiler. We
ignore many Samba, NFS and disk subsystem patches too. Over the years
with Openfiler (Openfiler is many years old now :) we have learnt from
experience to be conservative and provide a reliable platform. Of course
performance is important, and your best bet is to get it incorporated
upstream so it streams down. You can also build a patched RPM on RHEL
4.x and use it in Openfiler 2.x (they are binary compatible) for your
personal needs.
