ok - heres the situation..

I started playing with iSCSI today and thought I was getting quite far.

I have a central store running openfiler and have 2z250gb drives setup as a volume. this is then exported with iSCSI.

I have the MS initiator installed on one machine (a MS Media Center) that can quite happily connect to it (as a R: drive) and it's created an NTFS filesystem on it which it is quite happily saving recordings to.

All well so far.

But when I try this on another xp machine I was expecting to see those files that have been saved. But it's empty and asks me to format a new filesystem. Obviously I don't want to do that but I did give it a try. and it completed it.

but the files are still on the R: on the MCE!

what am I missing? do I need to do something to connect to an already existing filesystem?

Am totally lost.

Thanks

Craig
