Hi Bjoern,
If you are running an smp system/kernel please do the following:
yum install iscsitarget-kernel-smp
You'll need to do this even if it's virtual smp (hyperthreading)
Try this and let me know.

Yeah Beta 2 is out we just haven't announced because the relnotes are
not done yet.
