This is slightly off topic. Hope that is not a problem.
Digg.com had a front page story a few days ago about a review & how-to article on FreeNAS. It got a lot of attention. I have been setting up an old PC with MEPIS SoHo Server to be primarily a NAS device. The digg article made me consider setting up a machine with FreeNAS instead. However, I did some searching and came across OpenFiler which seems to have everything that FreeNAS has, plus more. The only disadvantage of OpenFiler is a larger footprint. I'm going to setup an OpenFiler system now. (Make up your mind Wayne!) I submitted an article to digg.com about OpenFiler, briefly comparing it with FreeNAS. A front page story on digg.com about OpenFiler would certainly help generate interest in the project. If you would like the story to make to the front page, you can 'digg' it. It is at http://digg.com/linux_unix/OpenFiler:_Is_it_a_Better_Free_NAS_Than_FreeNAS_ To digg it, you'll need to sign up for digg.com if you haven't. _______________________________________________ Openfiler-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openfiler.com/mailman/listinfo/openfiler-users
