so is this a known problem ? i checked the bug list and i didn't see it. i would certainly rate it
at showstopper. i also can't imagine that the speed of the machine (1GHz PIII with 512MB ram) could
be the culprit since it completely times out with extremely low cpu usage. again, wait load is
through the roof. oh, and yes, the array is not degradded in any way :)

Sorry, this is OF 2.0b1 with all of the available updates from the project's
yum repository.
More diagnostic info... Sure enough, disabled snapshots and problem goes
away. Let me know if I can run any tests or some such if it will help. I
suspect that since all the volumes are on the single 2TB partition, you
might not notice this issue if you have a separate spindles for the boot and
volume groups ? Only guessing.
On another note, the (presumably AJAX ?) UI for "delete snapshot"
confirmation dialog doesn't take into consideration the screen size and
shows up off-screen so you can't select it with the mouse in the browser
window if your screen is very small. My work around was I used elinks to
connect to the localhost to delete the snapshot :) Would you like me to
file a bug report in your system for this? The same probably holds true for
all the similarly-coded confirmation dialogs.
