Most likely. > How do I get rid of it? Check whether there's an entry in /opt/openfiler/etc/volumes.xml If there is then you need to delete the logical volume first (from the gui) before trying to remove the volume group. If there's no entry in volumes.xml and the 'lvdisplay' command shows any active volumes then you'll need to: 1) shutdown the smb service 2) unmount the logical volume from its current mountpoint 3) manually remove the logical volume with 'lvremove' command 4) most importantly, figure out how you got into that situation in the first place ;) R. > > Jason > > > ----- Original message ----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To: [email protected] > Date: Fri, 08 Sep 2006 16:21:09 +0100 > Subject: [OF-users] Volume Group deletion > > I have a volume group called "Jason" that I created whilst testing. > > It's empty, and on the https://san1:446/admin/volumes_vgmanage.html > there is an option to delete it. > > However selecting the delete option merely takes me back to the same > screen and doesnt delete anything. > > What's going on? > > Did I do something wrong?
