Hi,
In the openfiler updating, the system has added the kernel version 2.6.19.4.
RAID5 creation does not work with this kernel, the line:
mdadm --create /dev/md0 --level=5 --raid-devices=4 /dev/sdb1 /dev/sdc1
/dev/sdd1 /dev/sde1
gives us the following result:
# cat /proc/mdstat
Personalities : [raid6] [raid5] [raid4]
md0 : active raid5 sde1[4] sdd1[2] sdc1[1] sdb1[0]
6284928 blocks level 5, 64k chunk, algorithm 2 [4/3] [UUU_]
unused devices: <none>
And the raid does not synchronize.
With kernel 2.6.17.4 it works perfectly.
Is it a bug?
