Re: [OF-users] Re: Fresh smp install boot problemsOkay, the 64-bit ISO is not
dual-arch so it calls into question Mr. Smith's technical prowess when it comes
to "Network and System Administration" ;) but with regard to the error on
boot... it looks like problem upstream of OF that is likely to have been fixed
in a subsequent rpath kernel patch release. It's been a while since I've had
to pay attention during install, but doesn't the rpath ISO include the option
to install from the network or was that only the Centos-based OF ISO? If it
does, you'll have to pass the relevant boot option at the first login screen.
Default is <enter> which fires off the local cdrom install. You want to
specify to install from the network (if the option is availble). It will take
quite some time but it should include updated patches to the kernel which may
resolve your problem.

This is all a guess on my part as I've not tried it and I seem to be cutting my
rpath teeth on a daily basis so YMMV.

Good luck,

I was under the impression that the 64-bit iso wasn't a dual-platform install
and thus did not include the 32-bit install capability. Apparently I'm wrong ?

Install the 64 bit version from rpath I had the same problem and that
resolved it.

            Hey,

Just installed Openfiler 2.2 on my Dual P3 733 machine. Installed
Openfiler on 160Gb ATA disk. I also have two ATA PCI cards with 4x250Gt ATA
disks I'm going to use in software RAID5 array.

Install went without any errors. But when I boot up the system I
get this error: "Bad page state in process swapper"
