Thanks for your Help.  I had not known about DRDB.  It looks like it could be a 
solution for me.
Originally, I was thinking of having two OF nodes and 2 D-Link storage devices 
(which use Ethernet connections) that would provide HA and load balancing.  I 
could be wrong, but it looks like DRBD cannot provide the load balancing - 
which I may just live without for now.

The question still remains:  will OF recognize the ethernet based D-Link 
storage device?  In the long run this may be an cheaper solution, since it 
seems to me that I will need to, using DRDB,  replicate my hard drive space on 
the other OF box.
