I just installed openfiler 2.2 tonight to see if it'd be good to use
for my home network. I really like it, but I'm running into a
showstopper problem. I have a USB harddrive enclosure that worked
perfectly in Ubuntu 6.10, but during installation of openfiler I got
weird "cannot read /dev/sda" errors in disk druid, and then later
after booting openfiler, I cannot even fdisk that drive:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# fdisk /dev/sda

Unable to read /dev/sda

dmesg shows:

sd 0:0:0:0: SCSI error: return code = 0x10070000
end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 0
printk: 129 messages suppressed.
Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 0
Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 1
Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 2
Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 3
sd 0:0:0:0: SCSI error: return code = 0x10070000
end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 0
Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 0

I doubt the drive is bad, it worked fine 10 minutes before in Ubuntu I
installed openfiler. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mike
