I have an OpenFiler installed (2.6.19.4-0.1.smp.x86.i686.cmov).
1. User Information Configuration
Use Windows domain controller and authentication
Security Model: Active Directory
Domain/Workgroup: XXX.com
Domain Controler: IP (the same as ADS Realm)
ADS Realm: IP (the same as Domain Controler)
Join the Domain: YES
UserName/Password entered for the Administrator of the Domain.
2. Authentication Configuration
My
Windows Server that I want to populate users/goups to Openfiler
obviously does not have any of the following services running: (LDAP,
Kerberos, Hesiod, NIS).
Hence, would like to ask you what would
be the fastest setup in order to use one of 4 the options above.. that
would result the successfull Openfiler setup.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If I do not use any of the Authenticated options (all un-checked), the
following error occurs:
nfsd: last server has exited
nfsd: unexporting all filesystems
NFSD: Using /var/lib/nfd/v4recovery as the NFSv4 state recovery directory
NFSD: starting 90-second grace period
........
If I use authconfig (Use WinBind, Use md5 Passwords, Use Shadow Passwords),
Security model: Domain
then the following is observed:
Shutting down WinBindservices: OK
Starting WinBind services: OK
However, no users or groups are visible in Openfiler.
