Does opengrok provide a way to clean the Repository for non active projects after a while?
No, OpenGrok does not manipulate the repositories in any way, similarly it does not perform the initial clone/bringover of the repository. This has to be done by a dedicated script. On the other hand if the repository is removed OpenGrok will notice (if -S / OPENGROK_SCAN_REPOS is used).

We have projects maintained based on active branches. Once the branch is released we need to stop the project repository from being scanned and possibly Clean up the repository by removing the directory. It is not possible to delete the entire repository and recreate and rescan as scanning takes more than a day for us. So, please suggest how to perform this cleanup activity.
