then please update the bug with your findings
add there sample url which causes the problem
or just ls command output to see what are projects names (I can simulate and create similar directory layout and try to reproduce inhouse)

there might be other limits (e.g. firefox limit ?) you hit ...

biggest list of projects was 251 names with total length of 4350 chars, so not even close to 26k

hmm?

Hi Lubos

I have tried the workaround suggested in that bug but that did not help.

Please advise.

It's about tomcat config
see bug http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=19192
for workarounds and setup tuning for big installs

Hi

Our opengrok setup has approximately 1600 projects. Whenever we try to select All projects and perform a search the browser gives up.

We have tried this on IE and Firefox and suspect that this is an issue with the length of URL the browser can accept.

Firefox accept until 26131 characters and then gives up.

Having said that, please let us know if converting the form html to use POST instead of GET can resolve this issue?

If yes, how do I do it, which files I need to edit. Please advise.

Thanks

Shailey
