restart or reload?
I assume you mean application shutdown and restart.
The survivability of the registrations is dependent on the endpoints
deployed and not the gatekeeper. GnuGK when shutting down unregisters all
the endpoints with reason maintenance. Some endpoints such as openH323/Opal
based endpoints will still attempt to regain registration after the
registration timetolive value has expired and will automatically reregister
with the gatekeeper on the other hand most IP phones will not.
Unfortunately there is little that the GK can be done to change this behavior.
