Hello,
I'm reviewing the emails I sent to the list yesterday and realize they
could appear contradictory and therefore somewhat confusing.
To clarify, I am trying to work out two different SBC-related design
scenarios that I'll need to implement in my videoconferencing network.
One design is a "WAN-side GK" scenario where multiple customer terminals
behind a single SBC (RAS, signalling and RTP proxy) will register
against a single GnuGK server. The other scenario is a "LAN-side GK"
scenario where I will have a neighbor GK on each side of an SBC that
will proxy the LRQ/LRJ/LCF messages. In that scenario, a Cisco MCM GK
will be on the LAN side of the SBC and a GnugGK server will be on the
SBC's WAN-side.
I'm having trouble with both. I am, however, impressed with GnuGK and
its performance in most of the testing I've done so far. Thanks to the
developers!
