My opinions on names:
I like OSHCA, OSHA, and OpenEMR.
I think a .org is a bit classier than a .com for an open source project
=====
I've likely missed a few posts regarding naming, but I notice that OpenEMR
was missing from Joseph's list. Maybe it is too focused, or already
rejected for some other reason?
I registered openemr.org a week ago (because the good names always seem to
be gone by the time I get back to looking at them). I was not trying to
stake any claim, and don't have any proprietary interest in the name
(except that I'll be sad I wasted the $70 if it never gets used!).
I would be happy to transfer the DNS elsewhere if the group had another
site in mind to host it (all I have to host with is a linux box on a T-1),
I would also be happy if anyone wanted to split the registration fee with
me, and transfer NIC contact information!
(Also, as some of you know...) In response to all of the cc's I saw among
the people who met at AMIA, I also set up a list at [EMAIL PROTECTED] -
http://ohana.org/mailman/listinfo/openemr. However, I was quickly informed
that this list existed(!), so the only use that list has had is to announce
this one!
