> > > Also Philippe is going to tell us that a plain "terms server" > > > is not doing us much good if we want to do anything useful > > > with the medical data. ;-) Karsten, I really love the way you can predict my behaviour ;-) Maybe, one glorious day, I will be able to convince you that, of course, you can use terminologies, classifications, langage analysis tools, lexicons, communication systems... because there are plenty of it (ICPC, ICD, LOINC, GALLEN, UMLS, HL7... etc, etc) BUT, if your aim is to get rid off data management and enter in the knowledge management world, you have to elaborate an (open component) ontology you can use for : - interface - data storage - document publishing If a tiny company (2 to 5 employes) as Nautilus succeeded in doing it for french langage, we can work out an international solution. I shall very soon be able to show you the french/english release of Nautilus : you will be able to elaborate an echocardiographic report using french or english interface, then publish it in the mother langage of the people you send it. By the way, my elder daughter has just started studying german - I gonna study (again) german grammar for a future release. <very serious> Could the people on the list help me find where I can find multi-lingual terminologies/lexicons..., so I can automatically translate my 35 000 terms Lexiques in less than 100 years (for usual european langage at least). </very serious> Philippe AMELINE Odyssee project www.nautilus-info.com
