Hi Joseph,
Could you give more information or URL that points to how Vista dances
with XML? All I can find is this from the hardhat site
(http://www.hardhats.org/projects/mta99/hardhats_tracking.html):

---- start quote ----
# Strategic Planning for VistA Systems: An area of the site will present
information on migrating user interfaces, database redesign, package
rewrites, how to prepare applications for a detached user interface (UI),
leveraging XML, etc.
---- end quote ----

Since it appears to be from 1999, it is probably quite outdated.

If I understand Harold correctly, he is talking about access-control and
ultimately patient-controlled access to records. Some of the goals were
previously outlined in our discussion:

http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg06761.html

I am sure these goals can be achieved in any medical record system,
including Vista. However, do you know where we can find out what Vista's
current access-control capabilities are?

Sound fine. In order to contribute to any endeaver, we need to understand
and study it first. If the Vista experts are willing to answer some
questions, we will be able get up to speed sooner.

By the way, can OSCAR and Vista play together?

Best regards,

Andrew
