I was one of the guinea pigs for the web based medicalogic project crash and
burn. The best thing i can say is the free lap top computer that i ws given
to test it out still works!

Interesting link. I interviewed MedicaLogic CEO Mark Leavitt in early 1998.
His most memorable quote was that he was "betting the future of his company
on the success of the internet." I haven't followed it for a while, but it
looks like his company followed a conventional .com trajectory.

the link at the foot of the page to a physician's EMR comparison site
(http://elmr.com) seems not to be working, but google came up with this:

same thing.

Looks like Dr Voelker has a good take on what really matters to physicians:
ease of data entry, with a spreadsheet model predicting that:

"f a note takes more than 1.5 minutes longer than usual on an EMR you may
lose money! (Play with the numbers and see for yourself)"

unfortunately I was unable to play because I didn't have " Microsoft�
Internet Explorer 4.01 or later and the Microsoft Office Web Components"
installed.
