I had referred to the GDDB in a prior posting. Documed is just the Swiss reseller. It is marketed by atmedica (www.atmedica.com) out of Utah (US), which is owned by Havas (France) then Vivendi Publishing (France again).
They sell to OEM's or end-users, but the price is such that the latter are generally hospitals or large clinics. Part of the impressiveness of the product is that they maintain up-to-date databases for something like 30 different national markets.
