A reminder that it is not too late to plan to attend, and register for, the EFMI (European Federation for Medical Informatics) Special Topic Conference (STC) taking place on September 9-11, 2008.
The event is organised by members of the IMIA and EFMI Open Source Working Groups (together with CHIRAD and the British Computer Society) and has a focus on Open Source in European Health Care. While this is a primarily European event, we do welcome people from any part of the world who might wish to attend. The website is at:http://www.chirad.info/efmi_stc The EFMI STC2008 will be held at: BCS Meeting Rooms Davidson Building, 5 Southampton Street, London WC2E 7HA, UK The conference will explore the current and future issues related to open source in healthcare. In particular, there will be a focus on health records, ubiquitous computing, knowledge sharing, and current and future applications. The Conference will consist of invited plenary speakers and workshops, and is designed to actively engage the delegates.
